1. To support and grow the Memphis skateboarding community. There are several pieces to this section. LSM will raise funds for events and to purchase equipment to give away. The events are targeted to different age groups and styles of skateboarding, and will be held in a variety of locations throughout Memphis. LSM will continue to raise funds to purchase equipment to give away to skateboarders, particularly children who would not have the opportunity to skate otherwise.
2. To advocate for skateboarding with city, county, and state governments. Sharing the many benefits of skateboarding; including the physical, mental, and educational opportunities that come with every skateboarding experience. Applied physics, math, geometry, and other lessons revolving around STEM can be shared within the school system as well.
3. To increase the number of public skateparks(2) and skate spots(1) in the Greater emphis area. LSM will identify ideal locations for and oversee construction of each skatepark or skate spot. This will include design suggestions, public comment, and vetting appropriate contractors and companies to complete construction. LSM will raise funds through grants, sponsors, and private donors.
